Specifications

  • Ferrero products made at Lithgow meet a certified Food Safety Plan complying with the requirements of:

    • AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 Quality management systems - Requirements
    • CODEX HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) & GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Nutella is Halal certified (2008)

Allergens

  • Nutella contains tree nuts, milk and soy
  • Nutella does not contain egg, wheat or sesame
  • In Australia Nutella use vegetable oil (palm oil).
  • The only nut we use in our Australian factory is hazelnut

Vanillin

We receive Vanillin in a powdered form so any alcohol that may have been used in processing is evaporated off.

Caffeine

Since cocoa is an ingredient in Nutella, there is a small quantity of caffeine in a 2 tablespoon serving.

Cholesterol

Nutella contains 2.7 milligrams per 100 grams.

Trans Fats

In Australia Ferrero reformulated Nutella in 2006 to reduce trans fat to less than 0.5%. This was done by substituting hydrogenated oil to palm oil which is a form of edible vegetable oil.
